I’m Brandon Farbstein. At the age of 2, I was diagnosed with a rare form of dwarfism. After years of experiencing a world focused on the hate I felt, I was close to permanently ending my journey on this Earth, but then a single moment in October 2014 redefined everything.
I was at the airport with my family when I was approached by a woman who started to make small talk. She started asking simple questions but then, out of the blue, asked me the one question that would change my life forever – What is your purpose in this world? Shocked at the direction she took our conversation, my sincere, yet clueless answer to her came from a place I had forgotten existed. For years I questioned my purpose in a negative light and in that one moment, my mind and energy shifted. It was at that moment the woman then reveals she is a TED talk coach and not just any – one of the top coaches in the world. This one moment while standing in line at airport security, left my life forever changed.
April 10, 2015, the day my real journey began. This was the day when I, for the very first time in my life, showed my true, unfiltered self to the world through a six minute TED talk in Richmond, VA. At the end of six short minutes, my true purpose and intent in life had revealed itself. My life’s mission, each and every day, is to inspire, innovate and impact.
Now at the age of 17, I am beyond excited to share that I am well on my way to being certified as the world’s youngest professional speaker. I welcome you to join my voyage to change the world as I continue to live my journey of inspiration, innovation and impact.
